The South Carolina Aquarium is a nonprofit, conservation based aquarium in downtown Charleston. All of the exhibits are based on habitats in and around South Carolina: marshes, the coast, and the mountains. Take a look at the daily programs to learn about their sea turtle recovery efforts or watch the divers in the Great Ocean Tank. They often hold events so make sure to check out their calendar for a unique experience. Make sure to meet Caretta, a 220-pound loggerhead sea turtle, in the Great Ocean Tank.
