The College of Charleston’s Cistern Yard (or simply “The Cistern”) hosts a simple, yet beautiful light display hanging from the oak trees, set to Christmas music. it is called Cougar Night Lights. The lights are on throughout the evenings and the musical light show runs every 30 minutes. It is a great place to grab some Christmas pictures.

Local tip: This is a quick light show but it is really quite pretty. There are plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, and ice cream shops within walking distance to include this fun event in a night out. And the yard is big enough for little ones to run off some energy.
