Cannon Park in downtown Charleston is one of the most unique spots. The park contains only the entrance to the former Charleston Museum. The museum burned down in 1981 with only the steps and the columns remaining. Enjoy a picnic, take a walk, or throw a frisbee for the dogs.

Local tip: There is free and metered parallel parking surrounding the park. There are no public restrooms.
